Warwick Warp is looking for energetic, motivated and passionate individuals to join our team.
We offer an exciting opportunity in a small, dynamic and fast-growing company to help build and develop leading-edge software. The position will focus on the development of our biometric technology, and on delivering this technology to our customers.
The ideal candidate will;
- Have a university degree in computer science, or in a scientific discipline with mathematical content
- Be fluent in C++ and comfortable working across multiple platforms (Windows and Linux)
- Be able to interpret code written in other languages
- Have a working knowledge of signal and image processing and numerical algorithms. As these will be required on a daily basis, although a candidate with a strong mathematical background ought not to be fazed
- Have good English and communication skills
- Have plenty of initiative to identify problems and explore potential solutions without explicit direction
Essential skills will include a willingness to learn and an ability to quickly familiarise with new work assignments. As well as:
- Knowledge of software design pattern
- Familiarity with software management tools
- Experience analysing and improving software performance issues
- Excellent debugging skills (GDB, VS)
- Experience in .NET development (C#)
- Experience in design and modelling of relational database
- Experience in developing graphical user interfaces (Qt, .NET)
- Knowledge and experience with agile development methods
Your role and responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support to customers
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Designing and developing application software, interfaces, and object-oriented classes in C++
- Understanding and implementing product requirements and functional specifications
The ability to work as part of a team is important, as much of the development requires regular guidance and feedback, and the applicant will be working with others on the same projects. Previous experience in the biometric industry is desirable but not essential.
A passion for solving computational problems and excellence in all aspects of the work is essential.
