Open Positions - Software Engineer
We are looking for scientific programmers and software developers to join our award winning biometrics team. The position will focus on the research and development of our biometric technology, and on delivering this technology to our customers.
The ideal candidate should have a university degree in computer science, or in a scientific discipline with mathematical content. Experience in a research environment, either at PhD or Master's level, would be extremely beneficial. The applicant must be fluent in either C or C++, comfortable working across multiple platforms (Windows and Linux) and able to interpret code written in other languages (primarily Mathematica and Matlab). Knowledge of signal and image processing and numerical algorithms is likely to be required on a daily basis, although a candidate with a strong mathematical background ought not be fazed. Previous experience in the biometric industry is desirable but not essential.
The ability to work as part of a team is important, as much of the development requires regular guidance and feedback, and the applicant will be working with others on the same projects. As such, good English and communication skills are required. Individual initiative will also be required to identify problems and explore potential solutions without explicit direction. A passion for solving computational problems and excellence in all aspects of the work is essential.
